The titles of the other Episodes all seem to make sense: but what does "Altered Genos" mean?
Added by Lance Way
Lance: The word "genos" is actually Greek. One of its literal meanings is "race", as in "breed", describing a specific species or sub-species.
The creatures seen throughout Episode 2 are all forms of life that originated from the living weapons of the Ancient Age. By now, though, these species have greatly mutated and adapted to suit their new environment. The term "Altered Genos" apparently refers to these "altered races" that inhabit the region.
Why did Orta lose track of Abadd in this area?
In Iva's story there is a ruin situated in this forest. This means that there's a good chance that Abadd entered a ruin here.
Who are those people that fly by in the beginning?
They are Wormriders, people that have learned to co-exist with the bio-engineered monsters. They learned how to ride Baldors, a species that is normally very aggressive towards humans, like most biomonsters are. The Empire considers the Wormriders as savages, but they have a strong military force which makes them a force to be reckoned with.
Mobo is the Wormrider you here speaking in the beginning. He seemed to have convinced some of his friends to hunt a Yondo-Worm, a huge amphibious worm that lives only in this area. As we see later on in the episode, this may not have been a very good idea.
What's the deal with that resuscitation program Abadd was trying to activate?
Abadd was trying to bring back his ancient masters that gave him this mission in the Ancient Age. However, he found it was impossible to bring them back. Very little is known about the Ancients, and the fact that they wanted to return is only really confirmed in PD Orta (A hint at their return was also written in the books of Zoah of PD Saga). We don't know in what way the Ancients wanted to return. Some think they went in cryogenic sleep in the Ancient Age, while others think they uploaded their minds in Sestren. I believe that the latter was the case. I'm planning to write a theory about this where you'll find more information.
Abadd could not face the fact that he had failed his mission and that he would be forever alone now. He comes to the conclusion that there is still a way to complete his mission although resuscitating his masters, his primary objective, had failed. I think this means that Abadd's mission was more complicated than just resuscitating his masters, which enabled him to try and fulfil the greater goal the Ancients wanted to accomplish. Abadd's goal becomes clear towards the end of the game, but it was surely not what the Ancients would have wanted.
